Frequently Asked Questions

Don't worry, we've thought of everything.

How It Works

Our highly experienced tattoo artists will apply ink to the dermal layer of your skin. This layer, hidden beneath the epidermis, is highly sensitive and will become irritated by the interaction. The ink is applied utilizing a sterile needle. A typical tattoo machine pricks the skin of the patient at frequencies up to 3'000 injections per minute. The significant number of injections is necessary for the ink to "stick" as some of the ink will be swallowed by cells called fibroblasts.

Following a tattoo session, your skin will have thousands of tiny wounds. Your body will begin the healing process almost immediately. It will create cells called macrophages that will absorb the ink over time and process it through your lymphatic system, causing it to fade.
